DAY 1

Pick up at Hotel, transfer to Pinnawala elephant orphanage. The herd goes to the river at 2.00 p.m, befor we see the inland part, aftr follow the elephants to the river. In this governmental conservation project, they keep the ill, old, abandoned baby elephants, ensure them good conditions in big area, healing, two times 2 hours bathing in river, etc.

Afternoon we visit Dambulla, where we can watch the golden buddha statute and the rock cave temple monastery. Dambulla is Unesco Heritage Site, fascinating underground world of cave temples with thousands of statutes. [Night: Dambulla].

DAY 2

Climb Sigiriya. Go up to the top, and watch the jungle from the top of this ancient rock fortress. This lava plug rock holds the ruins of an ancient empire. Built by King Kasyapa in the 5th century CE, the citadel and its palace contains all attractions. Visit Matale Hindu temple. We visit Nalanda Gedige ruins. Kandy is both an administrative and religious city and is also the capital of the Central Province. Kandy is the home of The Temple of the Tooth Relic (Sri Dalada Maligawa), one of the most sacred places of worship in the Buddhist world. After a short sightseeing in Kandy we watch the Tooth Relic temple, after the Kandy dancers and fire eaters performance show (17. 00). [Night: Kandy1].

DAY 3

We are heading to the hills. Our first stop in the hill county is Ramboda falls. We visit a tea factory and tea plantations, where they explain the tea making process and there is a small tea degustation too. After we go back to Kandy. Walking until sunset in the Peradaniya Royal Botanical gardens.  [Night: Kandy2].
