DAY1.
Pick up in CMB, we can start the tour. Around 13.00 we can arrive to Pinnawala. You can watch the fruit eating bats at Maha Oya river side. Visiting Pinnawala elephant orphanage. In this governmental conservation project, they keep the ill, old, abandoned baby elephants, ensure them good conditions in big area, healing, two times 2 hours bathing in river, etc. First you can visit the the land side areas(elephant feeding), after the herd start to go to the river at 14.00 pm. Here now you can bath the elephant in the river.
After, we are heading to Dambulla. Late afternoon we visit Dambulla, where we can watch the golden Buddha statute and the rock cave temple monastery. Dambulla is Unesco Heritage Site, fascinating underground world of cave temples with thousands of statutes. [Night suggested: Dambulla or between Sigiriya-Dambulla ]
DAY2.
Morning we start whit a climb to Sigiriya. Go up on the stairs to the top, and watch the jungle from the top. On Sigiriya, the lava plug rock holds the ruins of an ancient empire, built by King Kasyapa in the 5th century CE.
After, if you are interested, you can go to a village experience program, where we with bull cart, after go through a nice lake with small boat and arrive to farmers mud houses, where ladies show how traditional farmers make their foods, they make a coconut sambol and herbal tea for the guests as a delicious snack for dinner. Afternoon, On the way to Kandy, you can visit an ayurvedic spice garden if you want, where they introducing the healing plants and natural oils and powders for non-chemical medical treatment, and give a short back massage as a try (for free) of the famous Ayurveda massage. You can visit Matale hindu temple. [Night suggested: Kandy]
DAY3.
In the morning, we visit Kandy sacred tooth relic temple. (Sri Dalada Maligawa), one of the most sacred places of worship in the Buddhist world. Watch the view from view point. Here if you interested can visit a wood carving factory, where they produce the world famous wood carvings, furnitures and masks. After we are heading to the hills. Our first stop in the hill county is Ramboda falls. We visit a tea factory and tea plantations, where they explain the tea making process and there is a small tea degustation too. Watching Gregory lake at Nuwara Eliya. Go to Ella, arrive very late night. [Night: Ella]
DAY4.
The relaxing hilltop village of Ella benefits from a more temperate climate than much of the rest of country thanks to its high elevation. The pleasant temperatures make the scenery surrounding Ella particularly lush and diverse, with cloud forests and tea plantations. In Ella, as a morning walk, we visit the mini Adams peak. Visit Ramboda falls.
Jeep safari in the afternoon in Udawalwe National Park. The habitat includes reservoirs, marshes, grasslands. Many elephants are attracted to the park. You can watch bears, antelopes, dears, crocodiles, lot of birds (pelican, cormorants, grey heron, etc), monguse, elephants, buffalos too.
